The Centre for Education and Research on Aging & Health (CERAH), a division of Lakehead University, focuses on conducting high quality knowledge translation, research, and education to advance health and social care promoting the health and wellbeing of people aging across their life cycle.
Funding from the Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation will enable CERAH to develop new resources, co-design a half-day train the trainer workshop for Indigenous health and social service providers while creating an online platform to make the curriculum widely accessible. Working closely with an Indigenous advisory circle, CERAH will ensure that all materials and trainings are aligned with Indigenous teachings, knowledge, and community needs while helping CERAH disseminate the newly updated curriculum and resources to indigenous communities and partner organizations.
We are proud to support the expansion of this program at Lakehead University that will allow for caregiver education and make the curriculum widely accessible.
