Inclusion NB works to ensure that the needs of families and caregivers supporting New Brunswickers with an intellectual and development disability have what they need to be fully supported in their communities. Their leadership has enabled access to quality inclusive childcare, positive inclusive education experiences, successful transitions from school to work, employment and labour market facilitation, social inclusion and community connections.
Family caregivers advocating on their own for their loved ones with diverse needs within complex, difficult to navigate systems can be time-consuming and personally draining.
With our funding, Inclusion NB will provide consultative support to 450 family caregivers to help them access necessary and meaningful supports/resources in their communities to better facilitate an inclusive life for their loved ones and family members. Through training and education, their Family/Caregiver Support Program will build leaders in our communities who will help embed the value of inclusion for future generations.
We are proud to help Inclusion NB support caregivers who want to help empower a person with a disability to live a full and valued life in the community of their choice.
