Funding will support the Empowering Caregivers: A Community-Based Elder Mediation Model for Newfoundland and Labrador program, which works to provide family caregivers the support they need to navigate complex and isolating decisions related to aging. Although elder mediation is proven to resolve disputes constructively, access to this support remains limited, and inconsistent. This program, in partnership with Family Mediation, will address this gap through raising public awareness, building local capacity through training mediators within community partner organizations, and implementing a real-time evaluation model to assess the outcomes of the services.
